How to install Telegram APP on laptop

In this article we are going to see how we can use Telegram APP on our laptop.

The developers of Telegram App have made it very easy for us to use our favorite telegram application on windows PC also on MAC machine.  If you are reading this article then defiantly you have a reason to install telegram on your computer. Well… the reason to do so may be numerous. There are people who are more comfortable typing on computer keyboard rather than on the small mobile phone.  Now a days, we like instant things. STEP-1 Download Telegram desktop for Windows OS

So, first we have to download the Telegram App installation file.

Open your web browser and type desktop telegram and hit enter. You should see this search result with URL desktop.telegram.org.

Click on this link. This link will take you to official web site of telegram App from where we can download the Installation file.

You can directly enter “desktop.telegram.org” in browser search bar and go to official telegram website.

As you can see, on this page we have the option to download the app. Please click on "Show All platforms" link highlighted in above picture, if you want to download the app for Linux or Mac OS.

For Windows OS , we will click on this "Get telegram for Windows x64" button. The installation file download will start.

Step 2- Installing the Telegram Application on desktop?

Once the download is complete, you should see "setup-x64.4.2.4.exe" file in your downloads folder.

You can first move it to any other folder you like to start installation.

Now double click on this file.

One popup window will open. You need to select your preferred language for installation. If you click on drop down list on this window, you'll see other language options. Click on “Next“ button.

Next window shows the folder location ,where the installation will be done. You can change this default path by clicking on this Brows button  and then select desired folder. Click on “Next“ button.

Next window asks for the location where you would like to create shortcut folder. Lets skip this shortcut creation by unselecting this checkbox here, and click on "next" button.

A new window opens. Click this checkbox to create a desktop shortcut icon and proceed by clicking "next". 

Finally click on the "Install" button to start the installation. A progress bar would show you the installation progress.

Once the installation done, a new window would appear with "finish" button. Click on finish and you are done.
