How to use Instagram Notes

Instgram, the most famous social media application has rolled out new feature call Instagram Notes. This cool new feature is gaining popularity and many people on Instagram are finding it useful. In this article we will see What is the use of Instagram notes and  how to use Instagram notes to share updates or message with your friends.

Instagram has become very popular social media platform . You may be aware Instagram is a free photo and video sharing app available on our two favorite mobiles platforms, iOS and Android. People upload photos or videos to Instagram application and share them with their followers or with a select group of friends. Instagram also gives you option to view, comment and like posts shared by your friends or people you follow. Instagram team always strive to bring new features for its users and “Notes” is one of them.

What is Instagram Notes?

Instagram has rolled out a cool new feature for its users to create short Messages. These notes have limited message length. You can only create a note  with maximum 60-characters. The notes that you create ,once shared will  be shown on top of DM section and are available only for 24 hours similar to Stories. After 24 hours the note you shared, will be turned off. However, users cannot track the views of a note.

Notes gives you a personal space to share updates as short text message with certain people who can then reply to them using messaging on Instagram.

Users can access the feature by downloading the latest version of Instagram.

Why use Instagram Notes?

Notes is the least aggressive form of Instagram communication. For Notes  shared with you, you do not get notifications and are silently placed in your inbox. They are more subtle than Stories and less direct than sending a DM.

Influencers, content creators, individuals and businesses can use Notes feature as a way to communicate news, updates, or any pertinent information in short.

Since Notes is simple way, they don’t need the time and effort that is required to craft a Instagram story or a feed post. Notes appear at top of your audience’s inbox hence they don’t really get lost in the noise of Stories.

Instagram Notes are a simple, short-lived way to broadcast a message.

How to make an Instagram Note?

Android and Iphone mbile users can follow below steps to use Notes.

1> Tap   or in the top right of feed.

2> Tap “Your Note” at the top.

3> Tap “Share what’s on your mind…”  and enter a note of maximum 60 characters.

4> Below “Share with”, choose to share your note with Followers you follow back or your Close Friends.

5> Tap Share in the top right to share your note.

You and others will see your note at the top of the Chats list for next 24 hours only. After this time, these notes will be removed from Instagram.

If for some reason, you think you need to remove the note before the 24 hours are complete, then you can easily delete the same note. To delete the note , tap on it, then chose Delete note option. 

When someone replies to your note, their reply will start a chat between you and them only.
